The Career Orientation Day took place on February 15 at Trung Vuong High School, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Education Association in coordination with the Youth Employment Service Center, to celebrate the "Youth Month" in 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, said that the event helped students and parents access information about enrollment, training majors, tuition policies, and job opportunities after graduation.
This is also an opportunity for students to interact directly with experts, thereby orienting appropriate majors right after completing the high school program.
In recent years, career guidance has received increasing attention, helping students choose a career based on their abilities, personal interests and labor needs.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa emphasized: "To correctly identify the major, students need to be advised and oriented clearly, helping them choose the right major - study at the right school - succeed in the profession and live their dreams".
Participating in the festival, Nguyen Tran Thanh Truc, a 12th grade student at Trung Vuong High School, expressed his desire to study Hotel and Restaurant Management. "I will take this opportunity to learn more and plan to pursue my favorite career," Thanh Truc shared.
Nguyen Truong Hao Phong, a student at Nam Ky Khoi Nghia High School, was happy to have identified his strengths and determined to pursue a military career. "This is a major that requires high capacity, so I will try to study well, promote the strengths of natural subjects, practice social skills and participate in mass activities," said Hao Phong.
At the festival, many colleges, secondary schools, and vocational training institutions provided admission consultations and introduced training programs. The industries that attract much attention include: accounting, finance - banking, business administration, marketing, information technology, mechanical engineering, electronics, nursing, pharmaceuticals and many other fields, meeting the diverse needs of the labor market.
