Since August 15, the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district has announced the list of successful candidates for teacher positions. According to the plan, this school year, Yen Thanh district will recruit and accept 286 new teachers at all levels.
However, because the Chairman of the District People's Committee has not yet signed the recruitment decision, all of the above teachers are still at home waiting for job assignment.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Yen Thanh district, many schools are currently lacking teachers, the situation is very difficult, while all the teachers who passed the recent civil servant exam cannot be assigned to work because there is no decision from the Chairman of the District People's Committee.
Ms. N.T.A, a newly-qualified candidate in the Yen Thanh district civil servant recruitment exam, said: “I was notified that I had passed the Yen Thanh district civil servant recruitment exam on August 15, 2024. I was very happy and thought that I would be assigned to work at the beginning of the new school year. However, nearly 2 months have passed, and I am still waiting at home, with no job and no income.”

The leaders of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Home Affairs to respond, however, the Department representative said that the personnel work related to the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee must be approved by the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Department of Home Affairs only performs some tasks in the above process.
