According to Lao Dong Newspaper, in early September, schools in the Hoa Binh lake area were bustling with atmosphere preparing for the new school year.
Teachers, students and parents together clean up the school, decorate the walls, and practice art to prepare for the opening day of the new school year.
In the rugged mountainous areas with sparsely populated areas and many villages cut off by the lake, that excitement becomes even more precious, because the road to school for children has never been less difficult.
In Tien Phong commune, since the beginning of August, the Board of Directors of schools has directed teachers to clean, repair classrooms, and prepare teaching equipment.
Mr. Ha Van Hai - Principal of Tien Phong Primary School said that in addition to repairing and beautifying the landscape of the school, the school pays special attention to preparing to welcome first graders, creating conditions for them to get used to the new environment.

The atmosphere of preparing for the new school year was also recorded in Muong Hoa commune - one of the communes with the largest number of schools in the lake area.
Mr. Bui Thanh Tan - Head of the Department of Culture - Social Affairs of Muong Hoa commune informed that the whole commune currently has 6 schools with 69 classes and 1,837 students, 100% of which are solid, with basic facilities to meet requirements.
"The commune government has coordinated with the school's board of directors to review and supplement learning equipment and supplies, ensuring that no students are left behind in the new school year" - Mr. Tan emphasized.

At Ngoi Hoa Primary and Secondary School (Muong Hoa commune), preparations for the new school year are also taking place urgently.
Principal Bui Van Cuu shared that the school has mobilized teachers and students to participate in cleaning, planting flowers, painting classrooms, organizing cultural performances, summer review for disadvantaged students and letting first graders get acquainted with Vietnamese.
"The biggest difficulty is that about 60 students in Ngoi hamlet (Muong Hoa commune) have to take a boat across the river to school. Vehicles are still rudimentary, on days of heavy rain and strong winds, going to class is very dangerous, many students are forced to stay home from school. Therefore, organizing boarding is considered an important solution, helping to reduce the burden on parents and ensure the safety and health of students" - Mr. Cuu said.
Talking with reporters, Mr. Ngo Ngoc My - Chairman of Muong Hoa Commune People's Committee affirmed that the local government has worked with Ngoi Hoa Primary and Secondary School to support and solve specific difficulties so that students can go to class with peace of mind.

In Tan Mai commune, the atmosphere of preparation for the new school year is equally bustling. Mr. Ha Cong Dat - Principal of Ba Khan Primary and Secondary School said that in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the school will have 11 classes with 286 students.
The school's facilities have been invested in spaciously. The teaching staff has worked together to clean, repair tables and chairs, and supplement equipment to ensure teaching and learning conditions.
"In particular, the school has mobilized parents to participate in building flower beds, planting trees, and creating a friendly landscape for students. These days, students also gather to go back to school to clean up classrooms and practice performing arts to prepare for the opening ceremony" - Mr. Dat shared.
Ha Thi Lan, an 8th grade student at Ba Khan Primary and Secondary School, shared: "We have been very excited to practice art with teachers and friends to perform at the opening ceremony. Everyone is looking forward to the opening day to be able to dance and sing on stage and meet friends again after the summer vacation".
