On August 3, the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province said that the provincial education sector is urgently adjusting local educational documents to include them in teaching in the 2025-2026 school year.
This is the first school year after the new province was formed from the merger of 3 provinces: Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong.
The Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province has established a Council for selecting local educational materials. This Council will select the topic of local educational documents and complete the document revisions in August.
The new document will be built based on the selection of appropriate contents from documents of the three old provinces, ensuring a full representation of the historical, cultural, geographical and socio-economic characteristics of Lam Dong after the merger.
The selection principle is to respect diversity but still highlight the common points between regions. The document must ensure scientificity, education and practicality, in line with the educational orientation for developing students' qualities and abilities, meeting the orientation for developing qualities, abilities and requirements to be achieved according to the 2018 General Education Program.
The selection of topics and editing of local educational documents are carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The goal is not only to meet the completion schedule in August and put into teaching in the 2025-2026 school year but also to ensure the quality of content, creating cohesion and pride among students in the new Lam Dong province.
