On December 13, Can Tho University announced that the unit had just coordinated with the National Center for Testing and Education Quality Assessment, the Department of Quality Management, the Ministry of Education and Training to organize the "National V-SAT Exam Summary Conference in 2025 and orientation for 2026".
The 2025 V-SAT exam marks a strong development in scale and quality, continuing to affirm the reputation, transparency and organizational capacity of the coordinating units. This is also the first year that the V-SAT exam has added Literature with the form of combining objective multiple-choice and computer-based essay writing.
According to statistics, in 2025, the number of units coordinating to organize the exam will double compared to 2024, including 10 units. The 36 rounds of exams attracted 142,113 contestants nationwide. Of which, Can Tho University organized 6 exams, with 81,067 candidates participating, accounting for 57%, the highest in the country.
The scores of the 8 V-SAT subjects in 2025 are clearly differentiated. The average score of the subjects ranges from 87 to 108. Of which, Literature had the highest average score (107.54) and Chemistry the lowest (87.76). The highest score in all subjects is close to or equal to 150, showing that the exam has enough openness to identify excellent candidates. However, the large difference between the lowest and highest scores also reflects the clear difference in student capacity between subject groups and regions.
To prepare for university admissions from 2026, the National Center for Testing and Education Quality Assessment will continue to review and update the development of a bank for appropriate standardized questions. Respect knowledge units that are reasonably distributed, helping to classify and classify candidates according to their abilities. Thereby, creating a basis for selection into suitable majors and group majors; meeting the increasingly high requirements of university admission.

From 2025, the no longer application of early admission has contributed to creating stability in the learning process of students, helping them focus better on the official exam. At the same time, this policy also aims to ensure fairness and transparency in admission, creating equal opportunities for all candidates nationwide.
The characteristics of the 2026 V-SAT Exam are basically still similar to the 2025 exam. The exam content is included in the current General Education Program at the high school level, with 8 independent subjects and tested on computers. The exam has 4 types of questions. In particular, many exam questions have been compiled in the direction of applying the assessment method of the International Student Assessment Program (PISA).
