From October 8 to December 31, 2024, the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board will organize a thematic exhibition "Bang oi...!" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
The exhibition space is divided into two parts: "The Banyan Trees in Hoa Lo Prison" and "Oh Banyan!". Each story about Banyan is associated with a historical milestone, containing the heroic war years of the nation.
The highlight of the exhibition space is the panels designed with the main color scheme of green and yellow, inspired by the colors of the banyan leaves. The harmony of colors and creativity in "changing the clothes" of the banyan tree according to the shades of the 4 seasons of the year make the exhibition space lively and attractive.
The unique content of the subject has attracted many visitors, especially young people, to visit and experience. They not only see history as a subject but also feel its value and profound meaning in current life. Stories about patriotism, indomitable spirit, and sacrifice for ideals have inspired many young people, making them more proud and motivated to contribute to society.
Through the thematic exhibition “Oh Banyan Tree…”, images and stories about the Banyan tree were received by young people in different, extremely vivid and interesting ways. The Banyan trees, although very simple, are a historical witness accompanying political prisoners during their time in Hoa Lo Prison. This is a symbol of the resilient spirit and patriotism of those who lived in the difficult circumstances of the resistance war.
