According to information from the Lao Cai Department of Education and Training, Luong Bao Tram - a 12th grade student specializing in English, Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted - achieved a total score of 38.25 in 4 high school graduation exam subjects in 2026, including Math 9.75, Literature 9.25, History 10 and English 9.25, ranking 2nd nationwide.
With a total score of 28.25 in the Math, Literature and English combinations, Bao Tram also became the valedictorian of block D01 of Lao Cai province.

Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper, Bao Tram said that she and her family were very surprised to know the results: "Immediately after checking scores, I informed my family. When I knew I was ranked 2nd in the whole country, my whole family, teachers and friends were very touched. I feel honored to be able to contribute to the achievements of the school and the provincial education sector".
According to Bao Tram, the most precious thing after the exam is not only the ranking but also the companionship of family, teachers and friends throughout the learning journey: "I don't see this as the end point but as motivation to continue to try on the road ahead.
Speaking about her study secrets, the female student humbly said that she does not have a special formula. From her secondary school years, she always tried to study all subjects evenly, not to study lopsidedly and to maintain seriousness in her studies.
Perhaps I am a bit perfectionist, so I always want to complete all subjects well. I think studying helps me have a stronger knowledge base and be more confident before exams," Tram said.
Not only is she good at studying, Bao Tram is also the class monitor of the 12th grade specialized English class, used to be the Chairman of the CYB CORE Event Organizing Club for the 2024-2025 term and participated in organizing many school programs.

According to the female student, extracurricular activities do not affect her studies but help her practice communication skills, teamwork, time management and problem solving: "I don't want to trade between studying and experiential activities. If I know how to arrange time reasonably, both can go hand in hand".
The 12th grade school year was also a period of high pressure when she both completed her university application, participated in school activities and reviewed for the graduation exam. There were times when the female student felt tired and overwhelmed.
I learn to divide big goals into small tasks, identify what needs to be prioritized at each time and persistently complete each step. Then, things that seemed very difficult also become easier," Tram said.
What makes the female student most proud after the exam is not the ranking but the fact that she did not give up: "The biggest opponent is not an exam or anyone else, but herself. Just constantly trying, everyone can get closer to the set goals".
In addition to the results at the high school graduation exam, Bao Tram is also an excellent student for 3 consecutive years, achieving 1,550/1,600 SAT scores and was awarded a Principal Scholarship of VinUni University worth about 2.6 billion VND.
After graduating from high school, the female student plans to study at the Institute of Business Administration of VinUni University. She wishes to study in a dynamic environment, accumulate more knowledge and experience so that she can contribute to her hometown of Lao Cai in the future.

Sending a message to candidates who will enter the high school graduation exam next year, Bao Tram believes that success is not only measured by scores but also in the persistence in pursuing goals.
I just want to send three words: Calm - Confident - Victory. Study seriously, take care of your health and enter the exam room with a steady mindset. I believe that perseverance today will bring'sweet fruit' in the future," the female student advised.
