On the afternoon of October 23, the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune (Quang Tri province) confirmed that on the morning of the same day, Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue - Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities was present at the school despite being temporarily suspended to serve the verification of the case of 40 students suspected of food poisoning. Ms. Hue's appearance has caused many parents and students to disagree.
According to the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune, when Ms. Hue appeared, parents gathered in large numbers in the room of this female Vice Principal. The authorities arrived to find out the cause, Ms. Hue said that she came to submit her medical records after being discharged from the hospital and getting her documents.
Receiving too much backlash from parents, the local authorities asked Ms. Hue to leave the school to stabilize the spirit of parents and students, but the female Vice Principal did not agree to leave.
Many parents at this time drove students out of school to protest. The authorities then made a record of the incident. It was not until early afternoon on October 23 that Ms. Hue left the school.
Previously, the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune decided to continue suspending Ms. Hue from work for 15 days, starting from October 23, 2025.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of September 26, 40 students of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities had to be hospitalized for emergency care after breakfast due to suspected food poisoning. Test results from the Pasteur Nha Trang Institute showed that 1 of the 4 food samples was positive for Bacillus cereus bacteria, the cause of acute food poisoning.
