On October 27, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province said that on November 2, 2025, in Ma Tuyen village, Muong Khuong commune, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held for the construction of 4 inter-level boarding schools for primary and secondary schools in border communes.
This is an important step to implement the policy of the Politburo and the Government on developing education in border areas, contributing to raising people's knowledge, ensuring social security, and at the same time consolidating the national defense and security posture in the border area of Lao Cai province.
Accordingly, in addition to Muong Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School, Lao Cai province will invest in the construction of 3 more projects including: Y Ty Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Y Ty commune), Pha Long Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Pha Long commune) and A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Boarding School (A Mu Sung commune).
The projects are invested synchronously, including classrooms, boarding houses, multi-purpose houses, libraries, kitchens and technical infrastructure, with a scale of 28 to 36 classes, meeting the learning space for 980 to more than 1,200 students per school; meeting the level 2 facilities standards according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The total investment for each school ranges from VND230 billion to VND299 billion.
The construction of a system of inter-level boarding schools in the border area is not only an investment in facilities, but also an investment in people - for the future and sustainable development of the country.
The new schools will be places to sow the seeds of knowledge, create equal learning opportunities for children of ethnic minorities, help them to excelled in their studies, and contribute to building the Lao Cai border area stronger and stronger.
