Many lecturers at Vietnam - Korea - Quang Ngai College said that dozens of lecturers and workers have been owed salaries for 3 consecutive months (October, November and December 2025), along with overtime teaching fees owed for many years, a total of more than 7 billion VND. Not receiving their salary for three consecutive months has put their lives in difficult situations.
The school's lecturers are mostly the main breadwinners in the family. The fact of being owed wages and overtime pay has forced us to borrow money everywhere to cover daily living expenses," a lecturer shared indignantly.
According to the reflection, overtime teaching fees from 2018-2019, 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 have not been paid yet. Many people are owed up to hundreds of millions of VND, while the school has not yet issued a specific payment schedule.
The situation of debt has lasted for many years, causing lecturers to lose motivation, reduce working spirit, and create great psychological pressure during the teaching process. This not only directly affects their lives but also risks reducing the quality of training, when the teaching staff has to work in an unstable and unstable mood for income.

The lecturers said they hope that the school and the authorities will soon intervene, pay the full 3 months of outstanding salary, pay the overtime tuition and publicize the handling plan in a transparent and legal manner.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Vo Dinh Ta - Principal of Vietnam - Korea - Quang Ngai College - said that in the past, the school has worked with departments and branches to develop a plan to adjust the autonomy level from 100% to a lower level, and submit it to the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Finance and the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province.
However, due to compliance with many legal regulations, the review process is still being handled by the province and is expected to have results in early 2026. "This week, the school will pay the October 2025 salary to lecturers; at the end of December, the November 2025 salary will be paid; by January 2026, the December salary will be paid," Mr. Ta informed.
He also said that the school must be 100% autonomous, causing many financial difficulties. When the school's autonomy level is adjusted down, the State will provide compensation for the shortfall so that the school has funds to pay salaries to lecturers. However, the debt of tuition overtime for many years will not be supported by the State.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on August 19, 2025, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province sent an official dispatch to the Departments of Education and Training, the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Finance, and the Vietnam - Korea - Quang Ngai College regarding the school's unpaid wages and tuition fees for lecturers that Lao Dong Newspaper had previously reported.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to guide Vietnam - Korea - Quang Ngai College to review, evaluate and rebuild an autonomy plan according to the instructions of the Minister of Finance in Circular No. 56/2022/TT-BTC dated September 16, 2021.
In the immediate future, Vietnam - Korea - Quang Ngai College will proactively review and balance the use of the School's funding sources to prioritize the payment of salaries and overtime pay for lecturers according to regulations and the authority of the unit.
