The above information is the result of a recent employment survey (2023) announced by Ho Chi Minh City National University on November 27.
Of which, the University of Economics and Law leads with 96.17% of students working in Ho Chi Minh City; only 1.85% work in their hometown and 1.78% work in other localities.
At International University, 91.67% of students chose Ho Chi Minh City as their workplace; 3.79% of students returned to their hometowns to work and 4.55% chose other localities outside of Ho Chi Minh City.
In the field of engineering and technology, students tend to choose more diverse working locations, but the majority still choose Ho Chi Minh City.
The University of Information Technology records that the percentage of students working in Ho Chi Minh City is about 80%. At the University of Technology, nearly 68% of graduates choose Ho Chi Minh City as the place to develop their careers.
Statistics also show that 21.61% of students choose to work in the southern provinces (excluding Ho Chi Minh City). The rate of working in the central and northern provinces is 7.66%, the number of students working or studying abroad is 2.75%.
In 2023, VNU-HCM will have a training scale of about 94,000 full-time university students and more than 8,000 graduate and doctoral students.
