On May 28, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vuong Hong Thai - Vice Chairman of Nam Dan District People's Committee - said that the district is continuing to coordinate with authorities to verify and clarify the case of 315 teachers being notified to collect social insurance after retirement.
According to Mr. Thai, up to now, 22 out of 44 schools in the area have provided working minutes since 2012, showing that the schools have paid insurance collection to the Social Insurance agency.
These documents have the signature and confirmation stamp of the school, the professional agency under the District People's Committee and Nam Dan District Social Insurance. However, the quality of the documents is not uniform: "Some records clearly state the amount, ratio, number of teachers... but others do not show specifics, so it is necessary to continue to check and compare" - Mr. Thai said.

As Lao Dong reported, previously, during the process of appraising retirement records, Nam Dan District Social Insurance discovered 315 cases that had not paid the full insurance difference, with the amount of money collected being more than 4.5 billion VND (as of November 2024). By the end of March 2025, this number increased to 452 people - including teachers and staff of many schools.
The reason comes from the period before 2006, when many teachers were signed contracts with fixed salaries but had not fully participated in social insurance. After that, when the salary difference is collected according to regulations, insurance is collected but not completely handled. This has been prolonged, causing hundreds of retirees to have no salaries and face difficulties.
In particular, there are special cases such as Mr. Ho Quoc Chung - former Vice Principal of Xuan Hoa Secondary School, Ms. Le Thi Thuy - teacher at Lang Sen Kindergarten, who are suffering from serious illness and have not yet had their pension benefits resolved.
Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Dan District Vuong Hong Thai affirmed: "The viewpoint of the district and social insurance agency is that if there are sufficient grounds to prove that the schools have paid for collection, it will create maximum conditions to solve the regime for teachers, not to be disadvantaged for the fault of the authorities."
The People's Committee of Nam Dan district is directing the remaining schools to urgently review, clarify responsibilities, report to competent authorities, and at the same time recommend that the provincial Social Insurance have appropriate handling instructions to ensure legitimate rights for workers.
