This year, the State Council of Professors decided to recognize 900 candidates as meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025, including 71 professors and 829 associate professors.
Among them, from the Academy's grassroots council, there are 4 teachers who meet the standards for the title of associate professor.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy - Director of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine - affirmed that the consideration of recognizing the standards and appointing the titles of professor and associate professor is a major and important policy of the Party and State, aiming to build, foster and use a team of leading and key scientists in training and research institutions according to national standards, gradually approaching advanced standards in the region and the world.

"In recent years, the Academy has appointed 1 professor and 37 associate professors. Teachers have made and are making important positive contributions to improving the quality of training, scientific research and technology transfer, contributing to the development of the Academy" - he said.
In today's ceremony, in addition to 4 associate professors considered by the Academy's prestigious association, the Academy also appointed 5 associate professors considered by other prestigious associations and reappointed one associate professor after a 5-year cycle.

Mr. Huy noted that teachers who meet the associate professor title standards are the result of the process of persistent efforts in scientific research and training of new associate professors along with support and encouragement from their families, agencies and colleagues.
However, he noted that with their scientific research experience, teachers should continue to make important contributions to the training and research career of the Academy and the specialized majors in which they are working, worthy of the title awarded today.
