Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document requesting departments, branches, localities and related units to implement solutions to ensure learning conditions for students, not to be affected by the implementation of the Gia Binh International Airport project and related projects.
Accordingly, Gia Binh Commune People's Committee urgently renovated and repaired the works to arrange temporary classrooms, completed; and handed over the site to serve the project.
In which, Quynh Phu Kindergarten before April 30, 2026, Quynh Phu Primary and Secondary School before May 10, 2026. The locality must also arrange vehicles to pick up and drop off students while waiting for the new school to be built.
Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee requested the investor to closely coordinate with the locality, support vehicles to transport students to ensure traffic safety, and at the same time support people to stabilize their lives during the resettlement process.
In December 2025, the National Assembly approved the investment policy for the Gia Binh international airport project with a total capital of more than 196,000 billion VND.
In phase 1, the project needs capital of more than 141.230 billion VND and over 55.100 billion VND in phase 2. The project is identified as having strategic significance in reducing the load on Noi Bai airport, while opening up new development space for the East and Northeast of the Capital.
The expected capacity will reach 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tons of cargo per year by 2030. This airport can increase its capacity to 50 million passengers and 2.5 million tons of cargo by 2050.
