The Tuan Giao Town Secondary School construction project has a total construction area of 14,640m2 with a total investment of 45 billion VND from the central budget.
The project is invested by Tuan Giao District People's Committee and is currently completed and is waiting for acceptance to be put into use before the new school year.
This is a Group B project, a civil project, level III, project implementation period 2021-2023 (adjusted implementation progress 2022-2025). The project is managed by the Project Management and Land Fund Development Board of Tuan Giao district.
The project has the following scale: 3-storey building block with 18 classrooms; 2-storey building block with 8 subject classrooms; Board of Directors + learning support; fire prevention and fighting equipment.
Along with auxiliary items: Security house, gate, fence, parking lot for teachers, parking lot for students, teachers and students' toilets, stage, flower beds...
The goal of investing in building Tuan Giao town secondary school is to create favorable conditions for facilities to serve the teaching and learning of teachers and students in the school, contributing to gradually improving the quality of comprehensive education, serving the local high-quality human resource training strategy.
According to Lao Dong's research, the project consists of 4 joint venture contractors: Tan Cuong Company Limited, Dien Bien province; Doan Lan Construction Company Limited, Dien Bien province; Doan An Tuan Giao Construction Company Limited; Thai Binh Construction Company Limited, Dien Bien province. Up to now, the construction of Tuan Giao town secondary school has been completed by contractors.
The investor is completing related procedures to accept fire prevention and fighting and accept according to the regulations of the Department of Construction. After completing the procedures, the project is expected to be put into use before the new school year 2025-2026.
According to the investor's representative, the trees in the school's campus are not in the project item, so the school will plant and take care of the trees themselves after the handover.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Do Van Son - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Tuan Giao district said that in the 2025-2026 school year, Tuan Giao town secondary school has a scale of 20 classes, 822 students.
"The school is expected to hand over before June 1 to prepare for the new school year. Regarding facilities that meet level 3 quality assessment and meet level 2" education standards - Mr. Son said.
In Tuan Giao district, in the 2024-2025 school year, there are 62 educational institutions. With a total of 1,065 classrooms, of which the solidification rate is over 90%. Currently, the unit is continuing to review degraded facilities at risk of being unsafe to have timely repair plans to ensure the safety of facilities serving management, teaching and learning.
However, the area of some classrooms is still limited, some schools have not yet invested in new library rooms, mainly subject classrooms arranged from regular classrooms, not meeting the prescribed area.
As a mountainous province with difficult socio-economic conditions, every year, Dien Bien always focuses on allocating resources to invest in building more schools and classes.
Recently, the Provincial People's Committee has also approved a series of plans to select contractors for school renovation and upgrading projects in the area (signed in early May 2025) with a total investment of more than a hundred billion VND.
The synchronous and focused investment in educational institutions is expected to bring a better learning environment, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education in the province.
