On August 26, Mr. Hoang Viet Viet - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Drang commune, Dak Lak province - confirmed that the locality had received feedback from parents regarding Ly Tu Trong Primary School's plan to change school uniforms for students in the 2025-2026 school year.
According to parents' feedback, in the 2023-2024 school year, the school has arranged yellow uniforms (without logos) for students. In the 2024-2025 school year, the school will continue to deploy orange uniforms with logos.
By the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, the school plans to continue changing its uniforms with new models including light brown pants or dresses and green shirts.
Thus, in addition to traditional uniforms (blue clothes, white shirts) and exercise uniforms, students will have three more uniform models (yellow, orange and blue). Some parents think that having too many uniform models is unreasonable and wasteful.
According to Mr. Viet, through grasping the situation, the change of uniforms is only at the internal exchange level, without any official documents. The People's Committee of the commune has requested the school to immediately stop the implementation.
At the beginning of the new school year, the People's Committee of the commune has thoroughly grasped that schools in the area strictly implement regulations on revenue and expenditure, avoiding overcharging. At the same time, schools are required to practice thrift in many fields.
Mr. Nguyen Tran Quan - Principal of Ly Tu Trong Primary School - confirmed that the school has stopped implementing the implementation of changing new blue uniform models for students.
Most parents agree, only a few object. However, to avoid causing misunderstandings, the school decided not to implement it anymore and will return the uniforms that were placed to the production unit, said Mr. Quan.
