Increase 20% of nursery groups going to school
Ms. Bui Thi Sao, born in 1981, used to be the Principal of Thung Nai Kindergarten, Phu Tho province.
During the school rearrangement, Ms. Xao actively wrote a letter requesting to be Deputy Principal, directly teaching 4 periods/week.
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper in September 2026, Ms. Bui Thi Sao said that one of the joys of her and the school this year is that the number of nursery groups (1 to 2 years old) coming to class has increased by 20%.
Ms. Xao said that in previous school years, nursery groups attending classes only accounted for 40% to 45%.
The reason is that Thung Nai Kindergarten is located in a particularly difficult area. People mainly earn income from agricultural production and fishing. Therefore, mobilizing children to go to school is not easy.
To prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, right from the beginning of the year, Ms. Xao and teachers in the school have strengthened propaganda and mobilized parents to send children to class.
The teachers persuaded parents that after the merger, the school sites would remain the same, so it would not affect children's travel and pick-up and drop-off.
Moreover, after arrangement, school sites will be strengthened with investment in physical equipment to ensure the environment for children.
Thanks to that, the rate of nursery children going to school this year reached 65%, an increase of 20% compared to last year and the highest rate among schools in the commune, even exceeding the central school.
This school year, the school maintains a 100% attendance rate for 4-5 year olds.

Parents can rest assured to send their children
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper, parents expressed their peace of mind for their children to go to school after the school arrangement.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh, a parent whose child studies at Thung Nai Kindergarten, said: "The children are educated in a guaranteed environment, the teachers care about the children. This year, the school has also invested in many new spacious facilities, so we are very reassured.

Ms. Kieu Thi Hong Thuy, Head of the Culture - Society Department of Thung Nai commune, said: "We determine that the arrangement must be in accordance with regulations but also must be suitable to the actual situation of the area and create consensus among the staff. The goal is that the post-arrangement apparatus will quickly stabilize, and teaching and learning will not be affected.
After arrangement, Thung Nai commune still has 3 educational institutions. Thung Nai Kindergarten was established on the basis of merging the original state of 3 kindergartens.
To ensure that the arrangement does not interrupt teaching activities, the locality has reviewed the staff, schools, facilities and prepared a plan to arrange management staff.
Along with that, the commune organizes propaganda, grasping the thoughts and aspirations of teachers and parents. Therefore, after arrangement, schools operate stably, and the rate of children coming to class is higher than in previous years.
