According to the Department of Education and Training, the arrangement of units directly under the Department of Education and Training has affected 34 units, including 18 high schools, 1 continuing education center and 15 vocational education - continuing education centers.
After arrangement, the number of units is 16, including 9 high schools and 7 centers.
In which, the high school block decreased from 100 schools to 91 schools, equivalent to a decrease of 9%.
The continuing education - vocational education block decreased from 33 centers to 23 centers, down 30.3%.
The vocational education block, including schools under the Provincial People's Committee and departments, decreased from 10 units to 5 units, equivalent to a 50% reduction.
The arrangement also entails changes in the working positions of the management staff.
For principals who are arranged after arrangement, 16 people continue to hold the position of principal. 9 people are arranged as vice principals, 4 people are transferred to become teachers.
Notably, 1 principal was resolved to retire early according to Decree 154/2025/ND-CP.
For the vice principal team, 24 people continue to hold positions. 38 people are arranged as teachers.
At the conference announcing decisions on arranging educational institutions and personnel work, Director of Phu Tho Department of Education and Training Trinh The Truyen said that many principals and vice principals are ready to take on new tasks, transfer jobs or from management positions to teaching.
The Director of the Department requested units to quickly stabilize the organization, clearly assign tasks and build democratic and united working regulations.
Schools need to unify education plans, personnel management, finance, assets, facilities, records and data.
The Department also requests units to reasonably arrange teachers and staff between the main school and branches, gradually solving the situation of local surplus and shortage.
Along with the organizational arrangement, Phu Tho's education sector is required to continue to do a good job of ideological work. Units need to promptly listen to and encourage officials, teachers, staff and students in the process of transitioning to the new model.
