The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just issued a document guiding university and college admissions in 2026, uniformly applied on the common admission support system. This year's guidelines continue to promote digital transformation, implement online admission registration, and at the same time strengthen the requirements for proactiveness and responsibility of candidates.
A common process for all candidates
According to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, all candidates, including direct admission candidates, are required to register for online admission on the General Admission Support System of the Ministry of Education and Training or the National Public Service Portal (up to the present time). All admission aspirations of candidates must be registered on the system for general processing.

This regulation applies uniformly even in cases where candidates have participated in admission according to the separate methods of the training institution (if any). The processing of centralized aspirations aims to ensure the principle that each candidate is only admitted to one highest aspiration, contributing to improving fairness and transparency in admissions.
Candidates are allowed to register a maximum of 15 aspirations and arranged in order of priority from highest to lowest, for candidates registering for admission to teacher training majors, training institutions only consider admission for aspirations from 1 to 5. The order of aspirations is decisive for the admission results.
Key" timeline
Candidates register, adjust, and supplement aspirations from July 2 to 5:00 PM on July 14, 2026. During this period, candidates are allowed to change many times, but must complete before the prescribed deadline.
Immediately after that, from July 15 to 5:00 PM on July 21, 2026, candidates will pay online admission fees according to the number of registered aspirations.
After having the admission results, all candidates, including direct admission candidates, must confirm online admission before 5:00 PM on August 21, 2026 if they wish to study. This is a mandatory step to complete the admission process.
Persistent requirement for each candidate
The Ministry of Education and Training emphasizes the requirement that candidates must declare truthfully and accurately and be responsible for all information provided on the system. Information related to priority areas, priority subjects, certificates... needs to be carefully reviewed and fully proven.
Candidates need to use the issued account to check academic information (class records) on the System and promptly request adjustments if errors are detected before the prescribed time limit.
For independent candidates who do not have an account, the registration of personal information to be granted an account must be completed in the period from May 1 to May 2026.
To support candidates, the Ministry of Education and Training requests departments of education and training to direct high schools to arrange computer rooms with internet connection, and at the same time assign officials to directly guide throughout the enrollment period.
Notably, the confirmation of priority information of candidates is carried out on the basis of connection with the national population database, helping to reduce the requirement to submit documents and limit errors in information confirmation.
Continuing to operate a common admission system with a completely online registration process not only ensures fairness and transparency in admissions but also sets higher requirements for the proactiveness and responsibility of each candidate in choosing and registering aspirations.
