On the afternoon of April 30, the Traffic Police Department of Dien Bien Provincial Police said that in the case of a taxi driver who died after colliding with a car, the driver who caused the accident violated the alcohol concentration at 0.230 mg/L of breath.
At about 2:10 a.m. on April 30, at Km85+200 on National Highway 279 in the area (Thanh Xuong Commune, Dien Bien District), a car with license plate 27A-074.93 (driver Pham Duy Tuan Dat) traveling in the direction of Dien Bien - Tay Trang border gate collided strongly with a taxi with license plate 27H-005.50 (driven by Le Van Khoa, 1987) being driven from the crossroad to National Highway 279.

The accident caused Le Van Khoa to die on the spot, and the two cars were severely damaged. After causing the accident, car driver Pham Duy Tuan Dat left the scene.
At 10:00 a.m. the same day, driver Pham Duy Tuan Dat (born in 1998; residing in Nam Thanh Ward, Dien Bien Phu City) went to the Traffic Police Department to report. The results of the alcohol concentration test for Pham Duy Tuan Dat recorded 0.230 mg/L of breath.
The case has been handed over to the police for further verification, investigation and clarification.
