In 2024, the total number of miners of the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) with an income of VND300 million/person/year or more is more than 11,591 people, an increase of 8% compared to 2023.
According to TKV Trade Union, the number of miners of TKV coal mining units in Quang Ninh with high incomes has continuously increased sharply in recent years.
In 2018, the number of miners of 14 underground coal mining companies in Quang Ninh with an income of VND300 million/year or more was just over 700 people, but by the following year it had increased to 2,600 people and 3,240 people in 2021, about 4,000 people in 2022.
By 2023, the whole group will have about 10,000 miners with an income of VND300 million/person/year or more.
Among them, there are quite a few people with an income of 500 - 600 million VND/month. In particular, there are 7 miners with an income of over 700 million VND/year, equivalent to about 58.3 million VND/person/month.
The units that are always leading in the number of high-income miners are: Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company (Uong Bi City), Duong Huy Coal Company (Cam Pha City), Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company (Ha Long), Mao Khe Coal Joint Stock Company (Dong Trieu City) ...
In particular, Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company is always in the top in terms of the number of high-income miners.
This is also the first unit of TKV to establish the "Good Workers - High Income" Club in 2004. The Club attracts more and more workers to participate in labor competition, creativity and recognize many examples of high productivity and income, contributing to helping the company complete its annual production and business targets.
Currently, the company has thousands of employees with an income of over 25 million VND/person/month. Of which, hundreds of workers have an income of 400 - 500 million VND/person/year. In particular, there is a miner with an income of over 700 million VND/year.
According to TKV Trade Union, by the end of 2024, the average annual salary of the entire Group will reach 17.95 million VND/person/month, an increase of 9.2% compared to the plan and an increase of 1.1% compared to the implementation in 2023; of which the underground coal sector will be 20.5 million VND/person/month.
Chairman of TKV Trade Union Le Thanh Xuan said that the number of TKV miners with high incomes has continuously increased sharply in recent years due to increased output and increased bonuses.
In particular, the increase in output is due to investment in improving technology, machinery, mining equipment, transportation, etc., which both helps to unleash labor and ensure safety for workers.
According to Mr. Le Thanh Xuan, many outstanding labor units and individuals have appeared from emulation movements in the group, launched in each stage and production and business task.
Currently, many emulation movements in the Coal industry have created a unique identity, a premise to help the Group develop sustainably, thereby contributing significantly to the vibrant competitive atmosphere of the whole country.
