In recent times, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee has closely monitored and directed departments, branches and localities to complete the contents and tasks before the two-level local government comes into operation (July 1, 2025).
For the Department of Construction, the Provincial People's Committee assigned to focus and resolutely implement the adjustment of the Gia Nghia urban planning that the provincial leaders have repeatedly directed.
Complete procedures to speed up the implementation of the project to repair and fix the problem of Ho Chi Minh road at Km1900+350 and Km1900+650 (old National Highway 14) according to the above conclusion.
In addition, this Department is assigned to urgently organize the appraisal and submission for approval of Component Project 4 of the investment project to build the North-South expressway in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section before June 15.
The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway project has a total length of more than 124km. Of which, the project passes through Dak Nong province for 23.1km and Binh Phuoc province for 99km.
The project was approved by the National Assembly in the investment policy in Resolution No. 138/2024/QH15, dated June 28, 2024. Accordingly, the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway has a total investment of VND 25,540 billion, divided into 5 component projects.
In which, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee is the managing agency of component project 2 (investment in the construction of service roads and overpasses across the province) and component project 4 (compensation and resettlement support for the section through the province).
At the end of April, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for component project 2 with a total investment of 338 billion VND from the local budget.
Currently, Dak Nong is implementing component project 4, with a total investment of 662 billion VND from the local budget.
