On April 28, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province said it was urgently preparing for the groundbreaking ceremony of component project 1 - investment in the construction of the North - South expressway in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section.
The expressway project has a total length of about 124 km. Of which, the section through Dak R'lap district, Dak Nong province is about 23.10km long, the section through Binh Phuoc province is about 101.03km long.
The project is planned to have a scale of 6 lanes, with a design speed of 120 km/h. In the first phase, the project is invested with a scale of 4 complete expressway lanes, with a roadbed width of 24.75m. The section through Dong Xoai city is 25.5m wide (expanding the median strip to arrange the lighting system).
The total investment of the project is VND 19,965 billion, of which state capital is VND 6,842 billion, which is the source of increased central budget revenue in 2022. The capital mobilized by the Investor is about VND 12,134 billion (excluding interest of VND 989 billion). The project implementation period is from 2025 to 2027.
The People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province said that the project is being implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP) method. The investor proposing to implement the project is a joint venture between Vingroup Corporation and Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank.
The consulting units and construction contractors are Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, Becamex IDC, Becamex Binh Phuoc.
The project will connect Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong with Tay Ninh provinces and the Southeast region. Create new space and development momentum for the two provinces.
