On August 3, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien and leaders of departments, branches, and related localities inspected the implementation of the Quang Tri Airport Construction Investment Project.
According to the report, the site clearance for Component Project 1 - Site clearance for construction of Quang Tri airport is basically completed, ensuring conditions for deploying construction items.
The total area to be cleared for the project is 267,974ha, of which 267,804ha has been completed so far.
Currently, there are still 3 cases of agricultural land being affected, functional agencies are coordinating to verify the origin of the land to implement compensation and support according to regulations.
For the 110kV power line relocation item, units are focusing on implementing compensation and support work. The compensation plan for the foundation of the power pole is basically completed and is being approved step by step according to regulations.
Regarding the corridor of power lines, functional agencies have completed inventory and preliminary pricing for 12 cases and coordinated to prepay compensation for 9 cases.
The remaining cases are being completed with dossiers, determining the origin of land use, measuring and applying compensation prices to soon complete site clearance.
After actual inspection and dialogue with households affected by the 110kV power line item, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien requested departments, branches, and localities to continue to closely coordinate, review and fully implement compensation and support regimes and policies according to regulations.
The units also strengthen propaganda and mobilization, creating consensus among the people; promptly remove difficulties and obstacles and accelerate the progress of site clearance.
Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee requested to soon complete relevant procedures, ensure conditions for synchronous deployment of items, and bring the Quang Tri airport project to implementation on schedule.
Quang Tri airport project is invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), started in July 2024 with a total investment of more than 5,800 billion VND. Recently, the project has officially been adjusted the planning from airport level 4C to level 4E, allowing the reception of modern wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 787 and Airbus A350. Currently, items such as air traffic control towers and passenger terminals have basically completed the main structural items. The runway item has been completed.
