Many routes are about to reach the finish line
The investment project to build the southern axis road of Ha Tay (now Hanoi) is over 41km long, started in April 2008 with a total construction cost of over VND6,000 billion.
By 2018, the project had put into operation 18.5km from Ha Dong to the end of Thanh Oai district. The remaining 23km has not been completed, including 14km in Ung Hoa district and 9km in Phu Xuyen district.

According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, with 23km of the project, 20km of site clearance (GPMB) has been completed; the remaining 3km (mainly in Ung Hoa district) is facing difficulties related to 23 resettlement households.
Ung Hoa District People's Committee said that with the area of 2,528.4m2 of residential land of 23 households in Tram Long commune subject to recovery and needing to be resettled, it is being urgently completed.
Ung Hoa district strives to complete site clearance (GPMB) in the first quarter, hand over 100% of the site in the second quarter of 2025 and complete the entire route in 2025 according to the roadmap committed to the city.
In the city center, the project to build Ring Road 1, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section (in Dong Da and Ba Dinh districts) is 2,274m long, with a cross-section of 50m, which has been delayed for many years.
The investment level of phase 1 of the project is more than VND 7,211 billion. Of which, the construction cost is 627 billion VND; the site clearance cost is more than 5,818 billion VND, from the city budget.

The Hanoi Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) said that the site clearance process encountered many difficulties due to people's lack of coordination, failure to confirm land origin, and failure to confirm boundaries. Some households have even received money but have not yet handed over the site... leading to project delays.
The Project Management Board has coordinated with the People's Committees of Dong Da District and Ba Dinh District to report to the city and propose solutions.
It is expected that in the first quarter of 2025, Ba Dinh District will complete site clearance and in the second quarter of 2025, Dong Da District will also complete site clearance. According to the schedule, the project will be completed in 2025.
In 2025, a number of projects in the area have been delayed for many years, such as the 3.5 Ring Road section through Hoai Duc district, the intersection of Provincial Road 70 - Pham Tu Street (Thanh Tri district) will also be completed.
