On November 28, Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Construction) continued to organize the collection of landslides and fallen trees to temporarily renovate the landslide section on D'ran Pass. The unit said it is expected to open to traffic in one direction on November 30.
The landslide repair work has been urgently deployed by the sub-commission with the highest determination to ensure safety for vehicles traveling back and forth.

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper: D'ran Pass is a vital pass on National Highway 20 for people to travel and transport goods from Phan Rang area (Khanh Hoa province) and now D'ran commune to the center of Da Lat and vice versa.
From October 26 to October 30, due to the impact of heavy rains, leading to the National Highway 20 section from Km262+400 - Km262+530 (D'ran Pass suspension bridge area) in Xuan Truong - Da Lat ward, landslides, subsidence cracks in the foundation and road surface caused traffic congestion.

After that, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a natural disaster emergency to close D'ran Pass to overcome the landslide.
To handle the pass stably and ensure long-term safety, Project Management Board 85 is focusing on evaluating, surveying, designing and developing a solution as soon as possible.
Experts from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology have come to the scene, surveyed a number of cracks and landslides to support finding appropriate solutions.

According to statistics from the Provincial People's Committee, during the storm period from November 16 to November 26, the whole province recorded over 266 landslides and land subsidence points, affecting people's houses and disrupting traffic in many flooded and isolated areas.
In particular, 5 national highways (20, 27, 28, 27C, 14C), the main route of Prenn Pass, 3 provincial roads (DT.725, DT.714, DT.729) and 2 main roads managed by the locality were all eroded and severely damaged by storms.
Lam Dong Department of Construction has proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider and allocate a budget of about 361 billion VND to repair damage to key routes managed by the Department.
