Hanoi - The extended Le Quang Dao road connecting Nam Tu Liem district with Ha Dong has reached 85% of its volume after 22 months of construction, expected to be completed in May 2025.

In February 2023, the investment project to build the extended Le Quang Dao road with a length of 2.6km was started.

The project starts at the intersection of Le Quang Dao - Thang Long Avenue (Nam Tu Liem district) and ends at Duong Noi Urban Area (Ha Dong district).

The project has a total investment of more than 700 billion VND, with the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem district as the investor.

To implement the project, Nam Tu Liem district must reclaim 123,351.5 square meters of land related to 364 households and 8 organizations, in the wards of Me Tri, Trung Van, and Dai Mo.

According to the design, the route will have inter-regional road standards, with a design speed of 60 km/h. The typical cross-section of the road is 40m, the section connecting to Thang Long Avenue (about 110m long) has a cross-section width of 100m.

Speaking with Lao Dong, a representative of the Nam Tu Liem District Construction Investment Project Management Board said that according to the contract signed between the investor and the contractor, the construction period of the Le Quang Dao Road Construction Project will last 810 days (27 months), starting from February 2023.

After 22 months from the commencement date, the construction volume at the site has reached about 85% according to the approved design documents, and the progress is still guaranteed according to plan.

The representative also said that, taking advantage of favorable weather, the contractor mobilized maximum machinery, workers, and engineers to continuously work in 3 shifts and 4 teams, ensuring the project's progress and technical traffic opening in May 2025.

When completed, the project will help shorten travel time between Nam Tu Liem and Ha Dong districts, reduce traffic pressure on many routes in the area, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the capital.
