Many roads are eroded, Central region urgently repairs traffic after storm No. 10

The impact of storm No. 10 caused landslides and damage to many traffic routes in the Central region, posing a potential risk to vehicle safety.

On the La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway (connecting Hue and Da Nang), part of the Upgrade and Expansion Project, many landslides on the positive slope occurred. Localities and management units have mobilized human resources and equipment to handle the incident.

The Cam Lo - La Son Expressway also had some landslides. The Road Management Office II.5 said that the unit has directed maintenance forces and investors to focus on overcoming the problem. The work of clearing rocks and soil, collecting fallen trees, and clearing the road surface is being implemented to soon ensure the safe operation of the route.

On the Ho Chi Minh route, the La Son - Hoa Lien section recorded three severe landslides. Thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil from high mountains have poured down, filling drainage ditches, overflowing onto the road surface, and damaging the positive slope. The road leading to the highway in Khe Tre commune, Hue city was also eroded, with rocks and soil covering the road surface. The Project Management Board has barricaded and warned vehicles to ensure safety.

The Management Board of the La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway Upgrade and Expansion Project Phase 2 said that the unit, contractors and supervision consultants, were on duty to urgently handle landslides at night, clear drainage ditches, place warning signs, traffic lights and arrange traffic guides. Currently, there are only 2-3 small landslides on the route, not greatly affecting traffic. The management board will continue to reinforce to limit damage in the upcoming storm season.
