Ninh Binh - On the evening of September 30, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and encouraged families whose relatives died due to storm No. 10 in Ninh Binh.

In Phu Binh village, Quy Nhat commune (Ninh Binh), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Government working delegation visited Mr. Hoang Van Khiem, born in 1934 and Mr. Doan Thi Nhi, born in 1938. The couple's house collapsed in a tornado that occurred in the early morning of September 29, killing them.

The Prime Minister sent his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and shared the pain, loss, and difficulties of the Party Committee, government, and people in the disaster-affected areas.

Sharing the irreparable losses of the relatives of unfortunate people, as well as the losses of the people of Quynh Nhat commune, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Party and State are very understanding and share the losses and difficulties of people in disaster areas across the country, and have directed the urgent implementation of urgent solutions to quickly overcome the consequences of storms, floods and stabilize people's lives.

The Prime Minister requested ministries and branches to closely coordinate with local authorities to seriously implement the instructions of General Secretary To Lam, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat, and the Prime Minister's telegrams, speed up the progress of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods, quickly stabilize the situation of people in areas affected by natural disasters as soon as possible; especially support people to repair houses with unroofed roofs or damaged by storms and floods; arrange temporary accommodation, support food, drinking water, and necessities for households who have lost their homes, and resolutely prevent any people from feeling hungry, cold, thirsty, homeless, or lacking clothes.

Due to the impact of storm No. 10, on September 29, Ninh Binh province had heavy to very heavy rain. In particular, on the morning of September 29, an unusual tornado occurred in the communes of Hai Thinh, Hai Anh, Quy Nhat, Hong Phong, Chat Binh, Gia Hung, Khanh Nhac... killing 9 people and injuring 32 others.

More than 1,200 houses had their roofs blown off, collapsed and were affected; 11 schools were damaged; 1 medical station was affected... In addition, 202 electric poles were broken, some power lines were broken, 1 transformer station was burned. Over 3,100 hectares of crops and trees were affected; nearly 160 hectares of people's aquaculture were flooded; over 1,500 livestock and poultry died due to floods.

Currently, Ninh Binh province is focusing on forces to overcome the consequences of floods and tornadoes. Ninh Binh province has established timely delegations to visit and encourage families of victims. At the same time, direct local authorities and functional forces to mobilize forces to urgently support people to overcome the consequences, ensuring a stable life for the people soon.

For the injured victims, the Provincial People's Committee has directed medical facilities to mobilize forces and organize free treatment for the injured in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.
