On March 9, Mr. Le Duc Tien - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province confirmed that through inspection, it was shown that some sections of the residential access road under the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project passing through the area have not been invested in construction.
To serve the travel and agricultural and forestry production needs of the people, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province has proposed that the Ministry of Construction and the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board consider adding some sections of the residential access road.
Quang Tri proposed to add 4 sections of the residential road through 3 districts of Vinh Linh, Gio Linh, Cam Lo. In Vinh Linh district, the section that needs to be added on the left side of the expressway is 1,100m long at Km710+360 to Km711+460; in Gio Linh district, a two-way access road from Km723+000 to Km725+825 is added with a length of 2,825m; in Cam Lo district, a residential access road is added on the right side of the expressway from Km737+000 to Km738+002 with a length of about 166m, and a residential road on the left side of the expressway from Km736+926 to Km737+666 is about 740m long.
"The expressway passing through the area has brought many opportunities for socio-economic development for the region, but many families are affected in traveling. At the meetings, people expressed many opinions on the need to add residential access roads to facilitate people's travel and serve the production and daily life of residential areas along the route. Therefore, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province has sent a document to relevant units, proposing to add more residential access roads" - Mr. Le Duc Tien said.
It is known that the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project through Quang Tri province is 32.53km long. Quang Tri province has completed site clearance and handed over the entire main route to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board for construction.
