Currently, from Phan Thiet ward, Lam Dong province, if you want to go to Ba Bau intersection to enter Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, you have to go on National Highway 1, return to Dong Nai about 13km and then turn onto the access road about 2.5km to enter the expressway.

To connect and shorten travel time, the Resolution on investment policy for the road project from Le Duan - Truong Chinh intersection to the expressway intersection and land funds on both sides of the road was approved by the People's Council of Binh Thuan province (old) in June 2025.
The road project from Le Duan - Truong Chinh intersection to the expressway intersection and land on both sides of the road is about 12km long. This includes the North-South expressway overpass intersection and branch roads entering and exiting the expressway.
On August 25, the Lam Dong Provincial Traffic Project Management Board said that the project's site clearance work was separated into component projects. The site clearance area is determined to be about 242 hectares, including the traffic road and land acquisition along both sides of the route.

According to the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, the volume of project site clearance is relatively large, with about 387 households affected. The implementation period is long and there is no clean land fund for resettlement.
To speed up the implementation progress, in the coming time, the Department of Construction proposed that the People's Committee of Lam Dong province direct the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board to organize the implementation of site clearance stake-ups.
This is the basis for handover to Binh Thuan ward to organize cadastral survey and serve site clearance.
At the same time, complete procedures for selecting contractors to survey, prepare feasibility studies and agree on the option of connecting the intersection with the North - South expressway.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the project is an important road axis in the Green Sea Lam Dong area related to the high-speed railway project that the Government is implementing very vigorously.
The route also connects via the North - South expressway and is likely to develop towards the expressway axis towards Gia Nghia in the future. Both sides of the route have great potential for economic development.
Mr. Hai requested relevant departments, branches and units to pay attention and make efforts to properly implement the proposed progress milestones.
Regarding the handover of site clearance milestones, it must be implemented drastically and soon. In which, the plan to select a contractor for construction is completed in August 2026, and construction is completed in 2028.

On the side of Binh Thuan ward, it is coordinating, organizing meetings, mobilizing people and proactively implementing other tasks related to local tasks.
When completed, the project will open up Phan Thiet urban space, creating new momentum to contribute to promoting the development of the East - West economic corridor of the province.
The Le Duan - Truong Chinh intersection to the expressway intersection and land fund on both sides of the road project is expected to have a scale of 12 lanes.
The starting point is at the intersection of Le Duan Street and National Highway 1, and the end point is at the intersection with Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway. The entire project is located in Binh Thuan ward.
Regarding the roadmap, phase 1 will complete site clearance for the entire route; invest in completing 6 lanes for motor vehicles, a 10m wide sidewalk and technical infrastructure works. The total estimated investment of the project is 4,712 billion VND.
