Initial information, the series of traffic accidents occurred at around 9:10 a.m. on December 26 on Bao Loc Pass (National Highway 20), passing through Dai Duc Me area, in Da Huoai 2 commune (Lam Dong province).

At that time, the tractor-trailer carrying alumina with license plate 51H-165.87 (driver's identity unknown) was traveling on National Highway 20 in the direction from Lam Dong to Ho Chi Minh City. While going down Bao Loc Pass, at Km102 National Highway 20, the section of Dai Duc Me curve, the tractor suddenly lost its advantage and collided with a sleeper bus with license plate 51B-171.94 that was stopped on the pass due to damage.

After the collision, the tractor-trailer continued to rush forward, hitting a concrete tanker truck of Lam Dong Minerals - Construction Materials Company and a motorbike driven by a woman riding the pass in the opposite direction.

The accident caused the motorbike to be caught under the tractor-trailer. Fortunately, the two women on the motorbike jumped out in time and were not injured. The accident also caused severe damage to passenger buses, tankers and tractors.
The incident caused serious traffic congestion in both directions on Bao Loc Pass, with vehicles lined up for many kilometers.

Immediately after the accident, the Traffic Police of Lam Dong Province Police coordinated with the Police of Da Huoai 2 Commune to be present at the scene to regulate and divert traffic, and at the same time examine the scene and investigate the cause of the incident.
At around 11am the same day, the scene was cleared in one direction, and traffic on Bao Loc Pass began to circulate again.

The cause of the accident is being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.
