Vietnamese golfers have concluded their 33 days of competition at the 33rd SEA Games, returning home with 3 medals. At the competition in Thailand, Vietnamese golf recorded the results of 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals.
Golf player Nguyen Anh Minh competed confidently in second place in the men's individual event, thereby winning a silver medal at the 33rd SEA Games.
2 years ago, Anh Minh won the individual bronze medal for men at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia in 2023. Changing the color of the medal in his second SEA Games was an encouraging result for this golfer.
The Vietnam men's golf team won an additional team bronze medal at the 33rd SEA Games with the competition results of Nguyen Anh Minh, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Ho Anh Huy, Nguyen Trong Hoang. However, experts are a bit regretful because the team hopes to win the gold medal in the men's team event at the 33rd SEA Games.
Meanwhile, Le Chuc An made history with the individual bronze medal for women. She has been ranked 4th after competing. However, above Chuc An are 3 golfers of the Thai team. According to regulations for individual competition achievements, each country cannot have more than 2 athletes receiving medals in the same event.
Therefore, Le Chuc An received the bronze medal. This is the first time Vietnamese women's golf has won a medal at the SEA Games arena. The golfers returned home on December 15, then continued the competition programs in 2026.
