This year, the 2026 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship golf tournament continues to take place at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania (USA).
3 Vietnamese golfers qualified to participate in the tournament include Le Khanh Hung, Ho Anh Huy and Nguyen Tuan Anh.
For Le Khanh Hung personally, this is the 2nd time this golfer has participated in the U.S.Junior Amateur Championship.
Two years ago, Khanh Hung competed and ranked 113th overall at the 2024 U.S.Junior Amateur Championship. Khanh Hung is currently ranked 171st in the world at amateur men's golf.
In 2025, golfer Ho Anh Huy participated in the above tournament and ranked 33rd overall.
In the other case, Nguyen Tuan Anh, this promising young face has his first opportunity to compete in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's tournament attracted 264 golfers from many countries and territories around the world to compete in the US.
The representative of the host country USA has 180 golfers present.
Among the 4 golfers with the best rankings in the top 100 male amateur faces in the world to participate in the U.S.Junior Amateur 2026 tournament, Vietnam has 1 representative, Nguyen Tuan Anh (ranked 98th).
In this tournament, the youngest golfer registered to participate is Riku Takase (Japan, 13 years and 8 months old).
The competition program will kick off on July 20th, US time.
Golfers compete in the first 2 rounds in the form of stick fights. After the first 36 holes, the Organizing Committee will cut out to select 64 people with the best results to continue. Golfers will compete in the next rounds in the form of sparring until July 24.
The two golfers with the best results will compete in the decisive championship round with 36 holes on July 25.
