Bac Lam Thao Industrial Cluster was established under Decision No. 1553/QD-UBND dated June 30, 2016 of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province. The planning area of phase I of this industrial cluster is 43 hectares, located in Xuan Lung commune (Tien Kien commune, old Lam Thao district), adjacent to Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway and provincial road 325B.
Bac Lam Thao Industrial Cluster has a total investment of about 330 billion VND, operating period of 50 years (from 2018 to 2068). The investor of this industrial cluster is Giza Group and the operator is BSM Holding.
As Lao Dong reported, more than 2 years ago (around October 2023), this industrial cluster had completed the construction of technical infrastructure, however, at that time, no enterprise had come to invest or build a factory.
According to the reporter's investigation, on November 11, a signing ceremony for a land lease agreement in Bac Lam Thao industrial cluster between Giza Group and THAGACO International Investment Joint Stock Company - a company in the textile and garment export industry took place.
Mr. Tran Van Tuan - a resident of Xuan Lung commune (zone 1, the old Tien Kien commune) - shared: "We also know that the Bac Lam Thao industrial cluster has attracted investors who are garment companies, and in recent days they have begun to announce recruitment of workers. Hopefully, the working environment here will be safe in the future, with many good benefits for workers".
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Chu Duc Khoa - Chairman of Xuan Lung Commune People's Committee confirmed the above information, and said that this export garment enterprise will lease 12 hectares of land in Bac Lam Thao Industrial Cluster, which is currently in the process of carrying out procedures to start construction of the factory.
"This is a domestic enterprise, although using many modern robots in the production process, it is expected that in phase 1, they will still recruit about 2,000 workers, and in phase 2, they will recruit about 3,000 workers" - Mr. Khoa informed.
Currently, the two main roads connecting to this industrial cluster are being invested in for renovation and upgrading with 2 projects with a total investment of hundreds of billions of VND: Traffic road connecting from Provincial Road 325B (Bac Lam Thao Industrial Cluster) - National Highway 2 - Provincial Road 323H - District Road P2 (Phu Gia Industrial Cluster), with a total investment of more than 245 billion VND; Renovation and upgrading of the road connecting Provincial Road 325B, connecting Ho Chi Minh Road to Ngoc Thap Bridge and the rescue route, with a total investment of 300 billion VND.
The two above-mentioned projects are both under construction, playing an important role in connecting traffic and connecting industrial parks and clusters in the area, increasing the efficiency of attracting investment for the Bac Lam Thao industrial cluster.
