At the opening ceremony of the 2025 East-West Economic Corridor - Da Nang International Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair on the evening of October 1, Mr. Le Hoang Tai - Deputy Director of the Department of Trade Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade) - said that in the context of the whole country focusing on implementing socio-economic development goals in 2025, with the GDP growth target of 8.3-8.5%, exploiting the potential of key economic regions, especially the East-West Economic Corridor, is of great significance.
Da Nang City, as a central location and strategic focal point of the economic corridor, is entering a new development stage when the Government approves the establishment of a Free Trade Zone (FTZ), a pioneering model combining specific institutions, modern infrastructure and innovative approaches.
This will be an important driving force, not only promoting the city's growth but also creating a spread for the entire Central - Central Highlands region. At the same time, it will improve the ability to connect domestic and international localities.
In that context, the 2025 Da Nang East-West Economic Corridor Investment, Trade and Tourism International Fair is part of the National Trade Promotion Program directed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the People's Committee of Da Nang City, which is a practical and effective tool in expanding the market, promoting cooperation, increasing the value of the supply chain and improving competitiveness for businesses.
The fair not only introduces the socio-economic achievements and investment, trade and tourism potential of the Central - Central Highlands provinces, but also promotes cooperation opportunities with countries on the East - West economic corridor and the Mekong sub-region, contributing to realizing the country's economic growth goals.
Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) Le Hoang Tai believes that, with the close direction of Da Nang City leaders and the synchronous coordination of domestic localities and international partners, the Da Nang International Fair for Investment, Trade and Tourism of the East-West Economic Corridor 2025 will take place successfully, contributing to strengthening trade, investment and tourism cooperation between Vietnam and countries in the region.
