The investment project to build technical infrastructure for the Southern Industrial Park, Yen Bai Province (old) was approved by the People's Committee of Lao Cai Province for adjustment and supplementation according to Decision No. 318/QD-UBND dated July 11, 2025.
According to the above decision, the project is adjusted and the total investment is supplemented from 250 billion VND to 285 billion VND (the total investment approved in Decision No. 1041/QD-UBND dated June 4, 2024 of the Chairman of the old Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee is 250 billion VND.
In the adjusted and additional value this time (increased by 35 billion VND), construction costs increased by more than 22.7 billion VND, equipment costs decreased by more than 1.7 billion VND, project management costs increased by 358 million VND, construction investment consulting costs increased by more than 3.8 billion VND, other costs increased by 371 million VND, contingency costs increased by more than 9.4 billion VND.
According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the Lao Cai Provincial Industrial Park Management Board recently announced the bidding for Package No. 33 of the project.
Package No. 9: Construction and equipment installation for the project (Class: Construction of a centralized wastewater treatment system in the Southern Industrial Park) - widely bid online, priced at more than 71.7 billion VND from the state budget.
This package is included in the 7th round of the project's Contractor Selection Plan, the plan approved by the investor from October 28, 2025 according to Decision No. 161/QD-BQLCKCN. In this round of contractor selection, there are 5 other packages (numbers 34, 35, 36, 37, 38): consultation and insurance packages.
With construction package No. 33, in the coming time, after having the results of contractor selection, the construction unit will deploy the construction of a centralized wastewater treatment system in the Southern industrial park in Van Phu ward, Lao Cai province.
The scale includes: Construction of a wastewater treatment system in the Southern industrial park with a treatment flow of 1,200m3/day and night; construction of a wastewater treatment plant with an area of 4,881.03m2.
The contractor will carry out the construction of the following items: Site clearance; Wastewater collection system; Traffic infrastructure of treatment stations; Rainwater drainage system; Water supply system; Treatment tank cluster system; Incident lake; Operator system; 160 KVA transformer station; Control and automation equipment system; Other auxiliary items.
The project is invested with the goal of completing technical infrastructure works in the industrial park, contributing to attracting investors to the industrial park.
