On the afternoon of December 11, at a press conference to announce the results of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, leaders of the National Assembly agencies provided specific information on the significance of personnel work as well as frankly acknowledged the limitations in the activities of the last term.
Responding to the question about the significance of personnel work, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Delegation Work Committee Ta Thi Yen said that at the 10th Session, the National Assembly reviewed and decided on many contents, including contents on personnel work under its authority.
Ms. Ta Thi Yen affirmed that the improvement of personnel this time is of great significance, not only solving immediate problems but also for the next term; ensuring continuous, unified, effective and efficient leadership of the state apparatus.
"The positions elected and approved by the National Assembly all hold key positions in the organizational apparatus. Therefore, timely improvement of personnel also helps ensure smooth direction and operation and does not leave gaps in any important field" - Ms. Ta Thi Yen emphasized.
According to the Vice Chairman of the Delegation Work Committee, the personnel process at the session was implemented strictly and methodically, in compliance with Party regulations and the law, clearly demonstrating the principle of democratic centralism, publicity and transparency.
This contributes to strengthening people's trust in personnel work as well as the Supreme Supervision of the National Assembly.
Moreover, the improvement of the leadership team also aims to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period, especially when the country is entering a period of promoting institutional improvement and transforming the local government organization model, and is a necessary preparation step for the 16th National Assembly term.
This is an important solution to improve national governance capacity, ensure the apparatus operates stably and synchronously towards the goal of serving the people and developing the country.

Also at the press conference, discussing the limitations in the activities of the 15th National Assembly, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Van Hien frankly pointed out some bottlenecks.
Regarding legislative work, the biggest limitation is still the slow and unplanned submission of draft laws.
Regarding the activities of supreme supervision and thematic supervision, Mr. Nguyen Van Hien said that the issue worth noting is the stage of selecting the content and effectiveness of " post-supervision". Although the detection of the problem has been well implemented, the monitoring of the remediation and implementation of recommendations after supervision is still a challenge.
To overcome these shortcomings and develop the country in the coming term, the National Assembly agencies have proposed many key solutions.
In the legislative field, the top priority is to continue to innovate thinking, determine the success of draft laws to remove institutional bottlenecks.
For monitoring and deciding on important issues, the emphasized solution is to increase the application of science and technology, artificial intelligence and information technology, combined with the development of appropriate programs and plans to improve the effectiveness of the National Assembly's operations.
