The new Phu Tho province was established on the basis of merging the three provinces of Phu Tho, Hoa Binh and Vinh Phuc.
The new province not only expands the population and natural area but also forms a new industrial structure, closely linked between regions. In particular, the industrial park system (IP) is the core that promotes growth and attracts investment.
After the merger, the new Phu Tho province has 32 planned industrial parks, of which 16 are put into operation.
In the Phu Tho area, there were 7 industrial parks planned before, of which 4 areas have been put into operation, including: Thuy Van, Trung Ha, Phu Ha and Cam Khe.

By April 2025, these industrial parks had attracted 184 investment projects, including 97 domestic investment projects with a total registered investment capital of over VND 23,108 billion, 87 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of over 2.3 billion USD. There are nearly 170 enterprises in operation, creating jobs for over 62,000 workers.
Among these, Thuy Van is the earliest developed industrial park, currently filled nearly 100%, attracting many Japanese and Korean enterprises.
Phu Ha Industrial Park with a scale of 350 hectares, is rising to become an auxiliary and electronics industrial destination. Trung Ha Industrial Park has also developed rapidly thanks to its favorable location and complete infrastructure.
In the old Hoa Binh province, there are currently 8 planned industrial parks with a total area of about 1,597 hectares, including: Luong Son, left bank of Song Da, Mong Hoa, Yen Quang, Lac Thinh, Nhuan Trach, Nam Luong Son and Thanh Ha.
To date, 3/5 IPs have been put into operation, attracting 104 projects, with nearly 515 million USD of FDI capital and 13,547 billion VND of domestic capital.

Notably, in January 2025, Nhuan Trach Industrial Park was started with a total investment of more than VND 2,389 billion, oriented to become a high-tech, green, and clean industrial park. Industrial parks such as Mongolia, Yen Quang, Lac Thinh are being accelerated to build technical infrastructure to be ready to welcome investors in the future.
Vinh Phuc is a highly developed area in terms of industry, with 17 industrial parks established. Of which, 9 areas have been put into operation, including: Khai Quang, Binh Xuyen I & II, Kim Hoa, Ba Thien I & II, Son Loi, Tam Duong II - Area A, Thang Long Vinh Phuc.
This is where large enterprises such as Honda, Toyota, Piaggio, and many supporting investors are concentrated. Projects such as Nam Binh Xuyen Green Park, Phuc Yen, Lap Thach I & II are being implemented, aiming to have 24 industrial parks, with a total area of nearly 10,000 hectares by 2030.

The industrial park system of the new Phu Tho province has a clear advantage in terms of geographical location when bordering Hanoi, near Noi Bai airport; connecting key expressways such as Noi Bai - Lao Cai, Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh, National Highway 2 and the trans-Asia railway. This is a favorable condition to form an inter-regional, modern and effective industrial - logistics corridor.
With dozens of industrial parks and industrial clusters in operation, the newly emerged Phu Tho province is one of the new industrial growth poles of the Northern midlands and mountainous areas.
