Coming to become a district that meets advanced new rural standards
Thong Nhat District celebrated the 50th anniversary of Dau Giay Liberation Day (April 17, 1975 - April 17, 2025) and received a certificate of recognition as a district meeting the advanced new rural standards.
Returning to the heroic tradition of traditional days, Mr. Mai Van Hien - Chairman of Thong Nhat District People's Committee shared that the liberation of Dau Giay (Thong Nhat District) contributed to the historic Spring Victory of 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.
Thong Nhat district is the third district of Dong Nai province to change after the liberation, recognized by the Government as an advanced new rural district together with Dinh Quan district and Xuan Loc district. Up to now, the face of Thong Nhat district has completely changed, 100% of the district, commune, inter -commune, hamlet and inter -hamlet roads have been asphalted and concreted; 100% of schools at all levels meet the standards of facilities ... The district forms 23 centralized production areas with a total area of more than 2,900ha. Dau Giay agricultural products market has gradually promoted the role of the center of consumption and distribution of agricultural products of the province and the region.
Bordered by Thong Nhat district, Dinh Quan district - once a poor mountainous district of Dong Nai - has made a strong change after 50 years of liberation. Up to now, Dinh Quan has completed the construction of an advanced new rural district, becoming a bright spot with many outstanding economic models such as specialized agricultural growing areas (hamlet, durian, bagged plants), garden, lake, cave eco-tourism, and a system of industrial parks and clusters connecting within-province and inter-regional transport infrastructure.
People's lives and income increase
The Spring Victory and Liberation of Long Khanh (April 21, 1975 - April 21, 2025) made an important contribution to the historic Spring Victory of 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.
Up to now, after 50 years, this land has had many positive changes. According to Mr. Le Kim Bang - Secretary of Xuan Loc District Party Committee, after the liberation of Xuan Loc, Xuan Loc was a poor and backward district with many shortcomings in the infrastructure system. However, with determination and efforts, Xuan Loc is now one of the first 3 districts in the country to complete the construction of advanced new rural areas and the first district in our country to complete the criteria for a model new rural district.
In recent years, the district has formed many concentrated production sub-regions with a total area of nearly 26,000 hectares. The district is oriented to develop 17 high-tech crop and livestock growing and raising areas for specialty crops with high economic value such as durian, rambutan, and pepper.
105/105 livestock farms in the area all apply good cold-pressure, biosafety, and closed-closed cage technology. Currently, the income value for key crops in Xuan Loc area reaches over VND348 million/ha, an increase of over VND78 million/ha compared to 2018; average income per capita reaches over VND95 million/person, an increase of over VND40 million/person compared to 2018.
Also according to Mr. Le Kim Bang, Xuan Loc district was awarded the title of Hero (Hero of the Armed Forces and Labor Hero in the renovation period). This is the recognition of the Party and the State for the sacrifices, revolutionary traditions, hard -working and creative labor spirit of the government and people of Xuan Loc. At this point, the locality will continue to promote good qualities, build grassroots government more and more beautiful, improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
