On February 21, the Office of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee confirmed that it had issued a Decision signed by Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien - Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, on the revocation of the OCOP product certificates for 47 products of 27 entities. Of which, 44 products achieved 3 stars and 3 products achieved 4 stars.

The main reason is that these 47 products do not meet the mandatory criteria in the spirit of the Prime Minister's Decision. Of which, 41 products did not participate in the assessment according to the 36-month deadline and 06 products participated in the assessment did not meet the mandatory criteria of a 3-star OCOP product.
According to this Decision, these 47 products are not allowed to use Vietnam OCOP certification trademarks and printed star rating on packaging and product brand recognition sets.
It is known that according to Decision No. 148/QD-TTg dated August 20, 2019 of the Prime Minister on promulgating a set of criteria for evaluating and classifying OCOP, there are regulations for OCOP products with a value of 3 to 5 stars for a period of 36 months from the date of issuance by the competent authority.
It is known that in recent times, Dong Thap has been the leading locality in the Mekong Delta in paying attention, investing, and supporting organizations and individuals to build certified products and develop OCOP products in the market. Therefore, the issuance of a decision to revoke the OCOP product certificate for 47 products that do not meet the mandatory standards is affirmed: Dong Thap is determined to build, but also very determined to comply with legal regulations as well as maintain the brand and reputation of OCOP of the province in particular and the whole country in general.
