Strong cash flow flows into banking and real estate stocks

Green color spread widely on the stock market, especially the return of the VIC-VHM stock pair supported the overall index.

After the recent unsuccessful trading sessions when liquidity decreased, the stock market in the morning session of August 12 is witnessing an extremely impressive turnaround. Stock groups on the market are flooded with green, mainly thanks to reduced selling pressure. Especially the return of the Vingroup stock pair, VIC and VHM, supporting the general index.

At the end of the morning session, VN-Index increased by 19.36 points (+1.09%), to 1,792.77 points. Total trading volume reached nearly 257.2 million units, worth 6,213 billion VND, down 15.9% in volume and 19.5% in value compared to yesterday's morning session. In which, negotiated transactions contributed 42.7 million units, worth 744.9 billion VND.

Cash flow in this morning's session is having an extremely ideal distribution when focusing in parallel on two traditional pillars, banking and real estate. Specifically, the banking group recorded the leading transaction value in the whole market, closely followed by the real estate group. The synergy of these two groups, combined with the securities group, has created a solid tripod to support the index.

The large pair VIC-VHM leading the VN30 group when closing this morning session both increased by 2.6%, contributing a total of more than 11 points to the general index. Followed by two energy stocks including BSR up 2.5% and GAS up 2.3%; the rest of the stocks only increased by just under 1%.

The entire VN30 group did not have any codes trading in red and only CTG and SHB stood at the reference price.

Today, 900 million PCB shares of Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank - PVcomBank officially traded in the first session on the UPCoM exchange with a reference price of 10,000 VND/share, attracting great attention from the market. The appearance of this huge newcomer not only heats up the trading atmosphere of the "king" stock group but also stimulates domestic cash flow to confidently disburse into other large bank codes such as TCB or SHB.

Asean Securities Company (Aseansc) believes that cash flow is still improving and selling pressure is not overwhelming enough to break the trend. However, the market still faces the risk of retesting near support zones if demand does not increase soon.
Short-term investors should maintain an average ratio, avoid chasing purchases and focus on trading in the 1,770–1,780 support zone and 1,790–1,800 resistance zone.At the same time, pay attention to stock groups with their own story such as state capital divestment, market upgrades, economic development resolutions or offshore cycles.

SHS Securities Company believes that the short-term VN-Index trend is in a period of accumulation below the strong resistance zone around 1,800 points, above the support zone around 1,750 points. The VN-Index trend can only improve positively when it surpasses the resistance zone around 1,800 points, corresponding to the downward trend line connecting the peaks of May and June, July 2026. The main VN-Index is mainly influenced by the Vingroup group and banks continue to accumulate after the recovery period from the price zone of 1,650 points.

SHS maintains a cautious view when VN-Index is heading towards the price range around 1,800 points.Currently, after a rotating recovery phase, all stock groups are heading towards, encountering a strong resistance zone.Suitable positions to consider portfolio restructuring.Investment proportion increase positions should only be considered when the main indices surpass the correction trend line after creating peaks from May 2026 to now.
