The 3rd 220kV Transformer Installation Project Muong Te 220kV Transformer Station has the following scale: Install 01 AT3 220/110/22kV-250MVA transformer; install equipment for 01 total 220kV transformer of AT3; install equipment for 05 roadbeds01 total 110kV transformer AT3, 2 segmentation compartments, 1 communication compartment, 1 communication compartment, 1 circulation circuit compartment); equip control, protection and measurement system, communication and SCADA in accordance with EVN, EVNNPT regulations, comply with the Electrical Equipment Regulations and current regulations. After completion, the 220kV Muong Te Transformer Station will increase its capacity to 750MVA.

The project started on June 30, 2025, and is expected to be energized in the second quarter of 2026. However, due to the urgent nature of the project, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) requires completion in October 2025.
