According to the pilot plan agreed upon by both sides, from March 7, 2026, the goods control channel in the Bac Luan II bridge area will organize customs clearance on Saturdays and Sundays every week, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
On March 7 (the first day of the pilot), about 450 tons of goods, worth 105 billion VND, were imported and exported through the Bac Luan II bridge area.
By March 8, import and export activities through the Bac Luan II bridge area continued to be stable.
There are about 44 vehicles with more than 150 tons of agricultural products exported to the Chinese market, with a total value of about 90 billion VND.
The expansion of customs clearance time is to meet the increasing import and export needs of businesses, reducing pressure on trade activities through border gates during official working days.
To ensure smooth customs clearance, functional forces in the border gate area have maintained their working force as usual, promptly receiving and resolving procedures for import and export goods.
The pilot customs clearance of goods for two more weekend days at the goods control channel through the Mong Cai (Vietnam) - Dong Hung (China) international border gate pair is a specific step in implementing the contents agreed upon at the talks between leaders of Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China) within the framework of the 2026 Spring Meeting program.
