On June 15, Gia Lai Provincial Market Management Department said that, implementing the peak period of fighting against counterfeit goods and goods infringing intellectual property rights, the unit has strengthened supervision and inspection at traditional markets, commercial centers and tourist streets from May 15 to May 22, 2026.

In a short time, functional forces have discovered and handled many violations related to counterfeit trademarks, goods of unknown origin and without legal invoices and documents.

The main violating items belong to the group of clothes, eyeglasses and motorbike parts. A total of 9 violations were handled, with a total administrative fine of 66 million VND.

Tangible evidence of violations includes 297 counterfeit products of Honda, Yamaha, Adidas and Chanel brands, with a total value of nearly 39 million VND.

In the coming time, Gia Lai Market Management force will continue to promote propaganda and raise awareness for people and small traders about the harms of counterfeit goods, fake goods and goods infringing intellectual property rights.

At the same time, the unit is committed to maintaining market inspection and control, strictly handling violations to contribute to market stability, protecting consumer rights and community health.
