World oil price today
Today's gasoline prices increased simultaneously. At 10:51 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 65.43 USD/barrel, up 0.14 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.21%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 75.29 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 65.37 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 67.25 USD/barrel, up 0.21 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.31%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 67.01 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 67.10 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices increased sharply. At the end of the first trading session of the week (September 9), Brent oil prices increased by 0.9%, to 67.04 USD/barrel, the highest level since April4; WTI oil prices increased by 1.1%, to 65.29 USD/barrel, the highest since April 4.
According to analysts, the increase in oil prices is partly due to the weakening of the USD. The USD strength index (DXY index) decreased by 0.3%, making oil cheaper for investors holding other currencies.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 10, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of June 5, 2025. Accordingly, domestic gasoline prices increased simultaneously. E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 67 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 133 VND/liter, diesel price increased by 284 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 176 VND/liter. However, mazut oil prices decreased by 86 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase.
Of which, RON 95 - III gasoline price is forecast to increase by about 170 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 110 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 270 VND/liter.
