World oil price today
At the end of a trading week, WTI crude oil was at 60.88 USD/barrel last weekend, down to 58.90 USD/barrel last weekend (the lowest level since the beginning of May). Overall last week, WTI oil decreased by 1.98 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 3.3%.
Brent oil was at 64.53 USD/barrel last weekend, down to 62.73 USD/barrel this weekend (lowest level since May 5). Overall last week, Brent oil decreased by 1.8 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.8% compared to last week.
Thus, gasoline prices continued to decline last week, continuing the strong decline from last week. Especially in the weekend session, both WTI and Brent oil prices plummeted after the US announced the imposition of 100% tariffs on Chinese goods.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On October 12, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on October 9.
Accordingly, gasoline prices have decreased simultaneously. E5RON92 gasoline price decreased by 486 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline decreased by 480 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 434 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 571 VND/liter and mazut decreased by 562 VND/kg.
This management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil.

Tu Luc Petroleum: Discount on Diesel 0.05S-II: 1,500 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: 1,250 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter.
MIPEC Petroleum: RON 95 - III Petroleum Discount: VND 1,000/liter; Diesel 0.05S-II: VND 900/liter; Diesel 0.05S: VND 1,300/liter. Applicable to the Northern region.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may continue to decrease.
