On October 12, according to information from the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, the unit issued a decision to terminate the dispatch of teacher T.T.H - teacher at Nam Can Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Na Ngoi Commune, Nghe An), and transfer her back to her old school to work.
This work is to facilitate the teacher in the process of working and treating cancer said a representative of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training.
Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. T.T.H said she was very happy to return to her old unit: "I thank the Nghe An Department of Education and Training and Lao Dong Newspaper for their attention and timely information so that I do not have to be seconded away from home while being treated for illness".
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, despite being treated for peripheral cancer for two years, Ms. H was still on the list of seconded to Huu Kiem Primary School, 35km from home. The incident caused public outrage, many opinions said that transferring a teacher with a serious illness to a higher level was inhumane.
After receiving information and explanation requests from the school, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training reviewed, corrected, and at the same time directed affiliated units when making a list of seconded units to comply with regulations, in which people with serious illnesses are on special priority lists and do not have to be seconded.
