China’s oil demand has fallen and stimulus measures have not been as effective as expected. Meanwhile, the US is expected to impose tariffs of up to 60% on Chinese imports, much higher than the current tariffs.
The surge in the US dollar to a one-year high also put pressure on oil prices.
