World oil price today
World oil prices today fell sharply. At 12:13, WTI crude oil was at 62.88 USD/barrel, down 1.13 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.77%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 84.01 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 63.30 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 66.82 USD/barrel, down 1.14 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.68%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 67.96 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 67.53 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices turned down sharply in the first trading session of the week, after increasing significantly at the end of last week.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On April 21, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of April 17, 2025. Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline price decreased by 384 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 351 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 206 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 229 VND/liter. Only mazut oil increased by 58 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to this development, it is forecasted that in the next price management period, retail prices of gasoline may increase sharply.
In particular, RON 95 gasoline price may increase by about 600-800 VND/liter; E5 gasoline may increase by about 500-700 VND/liter; Diesel oil increases by about 400-600 VND/liter.
